I have been following Silianor for almost 2 years now, and I feel like it's pretty rare that you find an group of people quite like you'll find around Silianor! I don't remember how I found him, but I do remember that it was this piece, and I was immediately captivated by his style. It's remeniscent of Fluff-Kevlar's art, but what mainly stood out to me was his use of cross-hatching. Even moreso, alongside some traditional methods you find in digital art, giving unique detail and distinct character to his work. As a learning artist, I was intrigued and immediately felt like I had to inquire! Actually still have the notes too. Eventually, he pushed his patreon, and there was a tier to be a part of his worldbuilding, although that has since evolved as the community has grown. So, I created a character more or less just for sharing with that, and of course, he eventually started a discord server. When I first joined, there we only 5 of us, which slowly grew and stayed under 20 for many months, with only about 300 watchers on FA. As of this journal, just over 1 year later, Silianor now has 3,400 watchers, and the discord has grown substantially as well! Since then, the patreon has also been reworked, we saw him implement a carrd website, and we even have a freakin' Minecraft server now!

Silianor is a loveable goofball, alongside the rest of us, who does his best to make sure things run smoothly, and we are all a satisfied bunch. We often throw ideas out there, then all talk about it, and people may be on board or not. He's an artist who doesn't just take commissions and update patreon, but actually engages with his followers. I think my favorite part is he doesn't consider himself a pro when it comes to art either, but an intermediate. He makes mistakes, taking feedback and advice that folks point out into consideration, and we've watched him make improvements with each piece of art!

I wanted to talk about Silianor and give him a shoutout because he has been a wonderful host and an inspiring artist who has grown a fantastic community.
