Worldbuilding!
I started created my own worlds back in 2022 as rough drafts on paper and I didn't really have a good clue as to what I was doing. They have all gone through a series of renditions, things have shifted around, lore has changed...but all of that has sort of been on the back end and not really shown publicly. The only stories i've really told too have been through the small lines I put in the art description and that's all going to change!
One thing i've been wanting to do for a little bit is actually redesign my planets! I had no idea what I was originally doing, but now I actually understand planetary biology(?) a little bit. How different biomes form and how everything plays into everything to make a planet how it is. I've cleaned up my math too! That, and i've always thought that the original sheets look kind of terrible. Instead of drawing these new ones too, I started building a campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons based in Hodr some time ago, making the planet in full, and detailed on Inkarnate! Fantastic little website, it's a lot of fun, and it's actually what made me realize that my planets were not great in design, and in writing that world, that I needed to rework and expand my lore. I will probably be removing the old planet refs from my gallery as well, for the sake of clutter, but there is also a second reason. For a very long time, i've always had ideas around my characters and the stories i'd like to tell, and although I want it to mostly be told through art, I only have so much time to draw, let alone much time for myself anymore, and limited money to commission stuff. I've always just wanted a place to put everything and get it out of my head for people to read while I wait to put an image to the stories, if they'd like.
So, all that being said, I started a wiki! There I will be able to tell all that I want to tell, give better details, and it won't be crowding my FA account. It'll also just be nice to have something else to do. Essentially, there will be one place for art with snippet stories while the wiki will hold the lore in bulk. Heck, if anything, actively writing the settings and stories might even fuel ideas for more art!
