Confuzzled! My Experience!

>>>If this journal is before 2020, I was younger than 18 and experienced a lot of neurological trauma

I can see what people mean by elevators/lifts being constantly down LMAO. There was one elevator that was just never operational, even on the day before opening ceremony.
There was a spooky scary fire alarm or whatever pulled too, I think on Friday night? The fire alarm wasn't too ear blistering but it was certainly a bit scary as my dramatic self thought there might actually be a fire or something - my laptop was in our room!!! Fortunately everything was alright and we all quickly went back in - was 2 in the dang morning though.
But other than that, I had a blast!!! I was somewhat worried that like, I'd be against seeing fursuiters or feel out of place or otherwise hella uncomfortable but like, I got pretty comfy and on with it pretty fast. First day and my mouth was agape with awe at all the fursuiters and such - I couldn't believe I was a furry too LMFAOOOOOOO. My friend found it amusing that I was in awe at everything - even the hotel itself lmfao
Didn't go to as many meets as I had wanted, caught con crud (later discovered it was covid) on Saturday and that put a huge dent into things - still tried interacting here and there (all while trying to keep any infecting to a bare minimum - mask, turning away to cough). Pretty sure I got it from the vore meet - it was wayyyyy too tightly compact there - way too many people, too small of a room (and I heard it was worse last year!!!). Couldn't really meet or talk with anyone at the vore meet either - didn't really know anyone and it was too tight and loud - I could barely hear anyone
They had huskies there too, a charity event, Saints Sled Dog Rescue! None of the huskies were interested in me at all though (some even straight up ignored me lmaoooooo) - if anything - more interested in my water bottle I had lmfao. Maybe they thought I was one of them pfft (I did have a husky bandana onnn)
I was meaning to make a journal before - but I had been adjusting to the UK and also had a Telegram that got banned for no reason and had been stressing a ton about that - because I couldn't communicate to anyone going to Confuzzled without it. Ended up not being too too much of an issue but it would've been great to have that option... Cause it was awkward not really having talked to anyone prior.
Making this journal finally beginning to recover from covid and I think finally beginning to de-stress. Been a wild few months for me, but I think I'm finally settling back down again - and should be getting back to doing all the things... I should've been doing :weary:
I thought I would during the AirBnB I was at prior to going to the UK - but something there kept making my nose bleed constantly and I think likely sapped a ton of my energy too - on top of stressing about getting ready to go to the UK in time arghhh

and about some of the things you mentioned before in previous journals, I hope you were able to fully escape that situation :c if you need someone to talk to I'm willing to lend a very big fen ear *hugs*
I had an AMAZING awesome time. Some of the meets were eh but it was otherwise hella fun. If you're there for socialization like I was, definite recommend. If you're there for drinking, food - then I don't recommend it - hotel food was usually horrendous lmao - either quality wise or price wise.
If you're in Canada, public transport should be amazing. UK (price-wise) or US (just it even working) are quite bad tho from what I've heard and seen.
Truetrue on getting the right amount of rest :3 not on any medication beyond using Otrivin here and there for my nasal congestion issues lmao.
I've like 90 to 99% escaped said situation, still in contact with family and the likes, and mother's sometimes tried to still guilt-trip me, but not as much as she used to. Still have to go back to Canada in 2 years though :weary: I should hopefully have a job by then and be making enough money to keep a roof over my head - and hopefully Canada fixes itself in those 2 years as well
Noted, thankie :3
Despite getting a bit of the sicky, you're trip was amazing I'm sure :D Feeling out of place in certain areas or situations especially ones that you have an interest in can be daunting - but eventually the feeling of belonging creeps in slowly but surely and you feel home! It's funny you mentioned your friend was admiring your every bout of awe and happiness at seeing everything and anything at the con, it means you genuinely were living in the moment and taking in it all :D
That's cool you got to see some cool hum-skies and interact with em', plus despite not going to as many meets as you wanted you still showed up and were present when you did! It sucks not being able to attend everything at a given event however that just means you'll go a second time, and a third, and a fourth...
I'm super happy you're destressing, and finally resting your paws. It's amazing to see you have removed yourself from a situation you thought was permanent and one that caused you great anguish. I knew you were staying at an Airbnb for a bit, but I didn't know you're living in the UK now - that's a crazy jump! However you're doing it, keep doing it!
Now you can finally take it easy and focus on yourself, brush up your fur and take those walks! XD
I'm ecstatic to hear about your triumphs Damo, I know everything is only uphill from here on out for ya and keep staying strong. Your Lua powered brain's got this haha.
Very knee deep!!!! head deep technically LMAOOOO
YUP, absolutely amazing, I still even tried despite suffocating on mucus :wheeze: (though I did do my best to ensure not to infect anyone else, I still feel bad for the poor dude I coughed directly onto at the dealer's den who I didn't see behind me as I turned :sob:)
Oh yeah that feeling of belonging worked weirdly. I felt like I very much belonged at the end of each day, but at the start of each day I felt like some alien - that I didn't belong - but it'd just take some socialization with furs and I'd feel amazing again. I think it was due to some personal guilt with being furry - and whether or not I deserve to be a fur or something :weary:
Did feel very at home though, by the time we left I was like "omg let's try to go to furmeets or any other nearby cons!!!" - too bad cons are like hundreds of dollars :sob: . Fortunately didn't get post-con depression - just got progressively more and more furry LMAO
But yeah, I was GENUINELY living the moment - was very stimulating but I oddly didn't get too overstimulated. There was a furry ahead of us in registration that I recognized from a few Youtube videos, wanted to talk to her but I was too much in awe and socially anxious to actually ask LMAO - came across her again but she was going somewhere then so didn't bother.
Yusss, the huskies were cute and funny :3 a few of them just kept barking for no reason lmao.
Exactly, that's the hope, going the second, third, fourth, fifth, oh so many ;3 it was interesting seeing some of the furs I've seen here, IRL.
Yaaasss :D aww thankie <333
Yeah the AirBnB was going to always be temporary, thousand dollars per month without any protections of actually renting a property ;p - couldn't stay longer than the end of April anyways. Didn't think I'd be able to just safely return back to my old home, so aiming for a UK visa with a friend was the only option ;p . Very crazy jump true!!! First time ever flying on a plane, first time ever going to a different country, first time flying over an ocean - lots of first times. Friends of mine were worried that the air pressure differences would screw up my nose but I was actually quite fine and comfortable oddly lol.
YAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS. Actually walks is a funny thing because my friend and I went on some walks but I got blisters - which sadly persisted throughout the con (although not too bad). My body just doesn't like me and especially exercise LMAO. Hoping the era of blisters is over though, just went on a walk earlier today and feel alright - tho haven't checked mah footpaws x3 - hoping it's all fine down dere! I really do wanna get more into walking so it was an unfortunate roadblock to that
AYYYYYYYY thankieeee <333 and hopefully :D haven't had any downturns since uwu
Hehehehe lua powered x3 love that you still remember that lmaooooo
Hope you've been doin' alright ;3 I need to give a good lookie at your new submissions and omg I need to upload the ones you've given meeeeeeeeeee
