Hey! I TOTALLY 100 percent understand your situation! I literally went to my first con (megaplex) literally today and yesterday.

I was RIDICULOUSLY nervous and scared, even kinda shaking, but the fear and novelty of being there wears off and it DEFINITELY helps to meet up with a trusted friend who can guide you through everything, or else you could standing on the sidelines nervous to interact with anyone.
I have a feeling that when the fear washes away after the first panel or event, and people know you as luwis.... dude, you're gonna have so much fun (heck I wish I could be there to hang out with a fellow "good" smelling dude!)

The fear is because of personal expierence i had with furries irl from the past mostly but i a big part is about first it being the first con too.
I am happy that ya had a wonderful time in the megaplex ^^

Too sad I'm not there... I was hoping to meet my favorite fart-fox when he's in my region :(
