Thinking of going Full time.

General
Well, 2025 is almost over, and I've been at quite possibly one of the lowest points of my life that I've ever been in, I've lost my love for everything I used to like, went through the worst depression I've ever had, contemplated suicide, and the only reason I even keep drawing is because it's the only way to remind myself that I'm still alive.
And a lot of this started about a year ago, under the suggestion of my friend who states that if I'm worried about my income, I should maybe get a more stable job instead of relying on commissions, so I ended up started job training in hopes of getting a retail job, and maybe getting a more financially stable income, and well, it's been a year, and frankly, I feel more like I'm trapped in it than anything, I don't think this is working... I feel like I'll be doing this thing for YEARS before they actually help me find a real job. It's also taking a lot of time away from my commission work, and why I've been a lot slower in general.
Even my mom is wondering if I should just quit if this isn't working.
Well, since I'm still alive (don't know if that's a good or bad thing), I've been thinking... Should I start like a Subscribestar or something? Maybe become a full time artist?
I'll need to ask around with other artists first to see how all of this works, but at this point, it's probably more than worth considering, I mean, what do I even have to lose?
So yeah, if anyone has any experience with Substar, maybe you can help me out? I'd be willing to start one. Still, I gotta have something for my tiers...
TLDR: Looking to start a
SubscribeStar, but I will need some help setting up.

FA+

I'm the daughter of an alcoholic, so all I can say is give it everything you can not to go down that path. Once you start, it's a battle for life.
1) be extremely realistic on how much time things take. Slots for monthly coms are a big time commitment, so if you decide to have them as rewards make sure you don't overbook/under charge.
2) $3-5 is probably a good minimum tier price so not everything is eaten by fees.
3) Early access and wips are excellent low tier perks. Having that spyro comic you've been wanting to do be a few pages ahead on substar on FA would be a prime example of a good offering.
4) Set a cutoff date for subs to get you ideas to get a reward for the month so they don't tell you on the 29th for a reward due on the 30th. Make that date abundantly clear.
5) If you do monthy fan art polls, you can do it all sorts of ways, from charecter votes to scenarios. You can even encourage a theme for monthly rewards if you go that route and mix things up.
6) Substar subs will fluctuate often: don't take any swings down too hard as usually its a seasonal shift.
7) most important, it's your substar, so adjust as needed!
