This is something that has been happening to me a lot lately and it's rather insulting to have someone talk to you once just so you know their name and them have them ask this rather then to genuinely want to get to know you.
I am a suit builder, that's what I do, and something I enjoy, not WHO I am. I am not a machine and I do have feelings. I get sick, I get sad, I loose loved ones, and I need a hug every now and then too. I AM NOT A MEDIA HUB TO SPREAD YOUR SELFISH SHIT, GET A DAMNED TWITTER!

I am sorry to get ranty, something I normally do not do, but its pretty hard when you spend three days out of town at a funeral with countless family members who have just lost an Uncle, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and friend to a horrible illness to come home to a note like that. It's downright insulting. You act like this persons life will end if they "don't get their dream suit". Guess what, it wont.

I have never seen that article, and makes me think that, man, does Spottacus hold a fursuit owner record or what? He has a suit from me, tipped me $500 and told me to raise my prices, and considering the number of suits he owns and from whom I listened, gotta love the guy <3
we made a gofundme for 1000 or less to help pay for our car bill to make sure the only person bringing in money could make it to work, we got 30 bucks...this person wants 10k for a fursuit and already has help? DAMN. Sure im a bit jealous, but this is NOT a need, you dont NEEEEDDD a fursuit to live.

Trying to find the perfect meme to inform someone that they are a moron (or whatever) has taken my mind off so many frustrating situations that by the time I find the perfect meme, I no longer care.

The only time a fursuit would cost that much is if they were intending to go through the Henson Workshop for a fully animatronic suit. A dream for many, but that's not proper research at any rate, good gods :\

Yea, I was less angry and more astonished by the blatant stupidity.
i see so many 'go look at so and so' because they're so wonderful, or they need help out, or they've started a kickstarter or patrion,
journals from artists i watch, because they have done something that interests me,
only go to see what they think is so great, only to find nothing there that really does.
i'm not saying i wish no one would ever do this, but i certainly can't blame you for not wishing to be asked to.
also, i still think kickstarter and patrion, for people to get something going who might not otherwise qualify for a venture loan, or wisely wish to avoid committing themselves to one, i mean they're a really great idea and alternative to that.
but people who are already richer then i've ever been or will ever be, using it to essentially pan handle, that's just,
as someone who has known hunger and homelessness, and known the ever growing percentage of the population who are,
and has always been too shy of doing so, ever to have asked anyone for anything,
and then to see someone do that, knowing what they did, under the circumstance that they did,
because they couldn't afford a gold plated cadalac of a fur suit,
i mean just totally "what tha effing".

what happened was that some girl lost an arm to a car accident caused by the other one. so she and a friend tried to raise some funds and asked artists for donating artwork. I promised a full ref sheet and badge (somethign I'd charge 40$ for usually), and the acution went on.
and ended at like, 40$... and most artists that promised art bailed out. I held true to my word, and later learned about the meager outcome.
now this here. a fundraiser for a fursuit? and even one of those incredibly expensive-awesome ones, even? and then they would deny a nickel to that homeless person at the corner, hm?

That is ridiculous. It is unbelievable the gall some people have. Coming back from a funeral to greedy requests like that is some pretty bad whiplash. people need to get some perspective on what is important in life. . Hissssss.
I finished school, busted my butt to get job, and only recently got to the point where I can afford to set a little bit aside here and there to build something for myself because it is a LUXURY. Commissioning a mask blank even was (is!) exciting to me because I know I earned that money and carefully saved in a responsible manner while also providing for my household and saving for the future. I can take pride in finally being able to indulge my hobby, haha. I am sorry but I wouldn't donate a penny to a fund like that. There are always people and animals whose health is at stake. That's worth my time and donation. Not crowd funding a luxury item for someone.
Especially if people are treating artists like you and Mordrude as nothing but publicity opportunities. I cannot believe some of the BS well known artists have to put up with. Sheer greed.. Gag. Give me a break. Much love to you and I hope (this being several days ago that you wrote this) that you are feeling better now. You deserve to take care of you and to relax and recuperate. ❤️
