I've had my fair share of crap, defs know better than to talk through the grape vine and just go straight to the source before deciding what to do. Others need to realize that what they hear isn't always what the truth is. :/

Not a problem, I have a huge hole in the back yard and nothing to put in it.

I try to be fair on who I work on when, but it is hard since I do not require full payment up front so my completion list is constantly changing based on who has been in payment plans longer, who paid in full first, who needs theirs first, who got their duct tape dummy to me first, etc etc.

And while I have had some people who were notably more anxious to have theirs done I luckily have never had an tantrums on when theirs got done, and actually I have had some people who were super chill on waiting when cases popped up where someone paid in full after them but was hoping to have it way sooner than when they needed theirs.

You see to be having some very bad juju lately and you don't deserve it :C

<3 I pretty much do the same thing the only added feature I have is limbo. (commissioners who can't pay for an extended period of time go into limbo, they come out when the suit is paid off fully and then go into the next available slot. If that means when I open the net year, that's where you go. People of the new queue who pay in full up front will also have priority over a limbo "survivor". ) I have this in place so that if something happens my commissions still can come back to finish the commission later, and I don't have to pull money out of my butt for a refund because of a "you don't pay this fast your out" policy.

This particular tantrum has gone on so long and involved everyone but the people it's supposed to. (them and me alone) I'm simply emotionally burnt out. It's to the point where it is affecting my mood so much I'm having a hard time working on other people in queue and that's not fair to them. I have also been given the impression that even if I make this costume to the best of my ability the individual like likely slaughter it in reviews as they are a, nothing will ever please, commissioner. Considering how involved this suit would be it's simply not worth it to see it torn apart.

Don't you have an out in your TOS? Most makers I watch have a "I reserve the right to cancel and refund your commission if I determine, at any point, that I am not the best fit for your commission."

it's like customers who harass an artist for a full painting hour by hour... literally. they can't accept that handiwork takes time, and I blame the "one-click society" for this: one click and it's yours. why can't it work like that in real life? they would wait in line before the McEatYouToDeath cashier without a fuzz, but on the 'net they can't obviously see it the same: quality takes time.

so far I have been lucky with my few customers who were pretty chill about it.

What? Are you serious? Some people are just impatient. I have a commission with you currently and even though its taken over a year, I see it as you taking the time to get it right and not rushing things. These kinds of things should be second nature to people when it comes to fursuits. They take a while because of the nature of the work and the artist wants to do a good job.

You're the only maker I know who I've seen her work in person. I've learned that not being an ass gets you places in life. It also makes people more willing to work with you knowing that you won't whip them. Its better to show compassion and care to those who are doing things for us than to show how impatient we are. When it comes to any commission, respect and understanding is key. If you had cranked out my suit in only a few days I would have to question your work. But because its taking so long I know that you are putting in quality, and that is what everyone wants more. So yes, I am very understanding when it comes to this and yes you WILL be working with you more. No need to hope as you have already won the contract, which does not expire.

all I can say is woah.. I know I have something coming from you and have and will be waiting for a while and that is mainly my fault lol I am indecisive and have to get stuff together :p but in no way am I gonna start bitching about it, if it had to wait to next year even then so be it, it is not -that- important that I would ever need to harasser you or anyone else, omg they got theirs before me, I'm 5 years old that's not fair! as an artist there are times when certain commissions you just really feel an can work on easily and quickly where others just feel like work and it is like forcing yourself to do so it does take longer - and then you get people like me, who just do not know what they want so it takes a really long time to get that straight answer so you can even begin to start work.

What? People DO this kind of thing?!! I can't believe people are doing this! (I mean, I can, but it makes me a little sadder about humanity.) I'm quite happy and patiently waiting on my commission. It will come when it comes, and I wouldn't in my wildest dreams imagine bugging a fellow commissioner. It's just mind blowing that you have to make a journal like this! I'm dealing with this sort of thing for the first time ever right now.
The person is on my list and has been kept up to date with the progress. They're passive aggressively leaving comments here and there, reminding me to "not forget about the plush commission" any time I post WiPs of the projects that are ahead of theirs. I'm getting annoyed now, especially because they haven't even begun to pay for it yet...

I'm not sure you should be the one to terminate the commission. As then they can claim it as a rip off since you keep the deposit and can get in trouble for that. Since they did commisision you and arent the ones to terminate it. You just got to stick it out unfortunately.

While to do understand and respect your position on the matter I will admit we have different opinions involving the current situation. I do agree that no artist should terminate a commission simply because they don't like someone or because that individual is problematic. Even if they are notably mad at the artist, assuming it's merited, is not a good enough reason. However; the situation at hand involves the commissioner harassing another commissioners in my queue as well as anyone else who knows me and while I will deal with quite a lot I can not and will not allow it to happen to other who are not involved in the situation. This is not about me having a chip on my shoulder, rather it is about protecting the other people who have paid a lot of money to work with me. If it was only between me and the individual in question this would not have become a publicly announced issue and I likely would have "stuck it out" as that was my full intention until this escalated to involve others. I fully believe that an artist should protect their commissioners from situations like these. It is unfortunate that this situation was compounded by the fact that the harassing party was in fact another commissioner of mine.

I will say that I have talked with the individual who's commission was terminated and we have come to an understanding and an agreement with how to handle the cancelled commission like adults. We agree that while the entire situation was unfortunate and involved varying opinions that we have come to a solution that we are both satisfied with and have signed documents stating that the situation has been conduced with mutually satisfied parties.

Oh, ok. Just don't want to see you get in trouble. Just whether or not the whole harassment thing and termination is in your TOS now so as to dissuade future problems.
