This is why I try not to become too attached to anything in the media. Eventually production costs overrun ad revenue. It happened to Rocky and His Friends and to the Mickey Mouse Club (yes, I am old enough to have watched both first-run). Star Trek ended too -- five times.

Look at it this way. They quit while they were ahead. I'm not a fan of MLP, but I do know that a wise decision is to quit before running a successful show into the ground. Think of how CSI was run into the ground. It dragged on and on, not really with any direction or purpose. However, by pulling what M*A*S*H producers did, they made sure that the show will live on in re-runs and in popularity for many years to come. It's not cancelling something good, it's preserving it.

It was quite a journey, that's for sure. I'm kind of numb over the fact that it was the final episode and just been reflecting all the things I got into and did because I was a part of that fandom.

It's okay....Everything must end at some point. You knew the day would come, yes. But you didn't Realize how reliant you had become on the show itself. It's nothing to be ashamed of my friend....it's just like loosing a loved one. Now you must exercise the lessons it has taught you and learn to move on from there. Though the beauty of this is, you may still revisit the old episodes at any given time and there's a chance they might revive the show once more at a later date, so All Hope is not lost yet my friend. Let the tears flow and Remember the Good times you had. *Hugs*

This is the tremenduous power of stories; to heal, to inspire, to shape and re-shape the world, one mind at a time. The world of Equestria has had its turn; nor is its turn really over as long as the episodes are still available, somewhere. Never forget the lessons you learned there.

And there will be other stories to love and reshape yourself with. Furry is full of them. The whole world is a story, if you know how and where to look. Perhaps you will learn to tell stories with your wonderful art. If the Bronies and Pegasisters have anything left, it's an abundance of creativity! Hasbro has had its turn, yours doesn't end until you want it to.

I just watched the last episode of the show; that was a very beautiful ending.
I think I know how you feel. They were such a part of your life that it's like seeing a friend go. Or looking up, and seeing the friend was never there. The fantasy has been reality, and when it's over, reality goes with it. Where is that refuge that I lost...
